Anxiety Management in Medicine

Everyone always guesses plastics or peds.

And then I tell them I want to be a forensic pathologist.

This week on Forensic Fashionista, we are talking about pink, pathology, being underestimated, why I fell in love with forensic medicine, and why becoming a doctor should not require becoming less of yourself along the way.

first day of T5!!

somehow we’re already here.

new term, new lectures, same girl convincing herself that this will be the term she stays completely caught up.

after taking a little time to rest and reset after T4, it feels really good to be starting again. a little nervous, a lot excited, and very grateful to be one step closer.

I never expected the island itself to teach me about slowing down, finding beauty in difficult seasons, and remembering that my worth has never been measured by a grade.

There have been seasons where I stopped doing many of the things that once made me feel like myself.

Not because I didn’t care.

Because I was exhausted.

I’ve learned that getting ready isn’t always about appearance.

Sometimes it’s an act of self-respect.

In reality, it is a medical specialty focused on understanding the cause and manner of death, and helping provide answers and closure to the families.
