Welcome!

Wow, I am so happy you stumbled onto my little corner of the internet! My name is Kenzie and I love all things girly, glitzy, pink, and forensic science?! Yeah...I know...very different interests, but that's me!

I graduated with a bachelor's degree in forensic science with a minor in criminal justice this past April and I am currently on the path to medical school. In this gap, I am working as an autopsy assistant in order to grow my knowledge, passion, and excitement in this field. I think overall, there are a lot of misconceptions that people have in accordance to forensics...and I am hoping to open the conversation on many of these topics. But I am not only interested forensics...I am a formal pageant title holder and model. I have walked in New York Fashion Week and Miami Swim Week, but my favorite place to be is in the autopsy suites!

I created this blog in order to talk about the challenges of being a woman in forensic science, and ultimately medicine, discuss the struggles of imposter syndrome, staying motivated, always being yourself (regardless of how others may view you), and overall allowing yourself to dive deep into your passions without hesitation!
